Last weekend, IGA made its way to Wycombe Leisure Centre, setting the stage for our most monumental gymnastics competition to date. Not only did we have the largest venue set up, we had the fantastic Gymnova set up all of the equipment using the same equipment that was used at the 2022 commonwealth games! With more than 500 participants and clubs representing various counties in the south, this event has undoubtedly etched its place in the annals of IGA’s history!
This event started with a bang, we had the incredible DE Photo in attendance who took hundreds of professional images of the gymnasts in attendance. For any parents who missed the opportunity to grab these images they are still available to view and purchase on the DE Photo’s website.
We also had lots of sparkle on show with the wonderful and very impressive Quatro Leotards. They came with a stand full of EVERYTHING Quatro. From hand guard bags to Leotards, they came with goodies that you simply couldn’t miss out on!
As you are aware. competitions cannot be ran without the IGA Staff, Judges and Volunteers. We would like to personally thank everyone who helped make this possible. From our fantastic new office team who really threw themselves in the deep end and attended the whole event to learn about our IGA Competitions after being with IGA for only 4 weeks, they organised the new numbers, the medals, the goodie bags and even took part in the music and scoring! Our competition organiser, who sits for hours to try and piece together the perfect competition schedule, organises and arranges the judges and volunteers and is always on hand to offer support to those on the day of the competition. To the Judges who attended courses to learn the judging system and giving up their weekend to support every gymnast, coach and club with their incredible expertise, to the volunteers who added a sprinkle of sparkle and made sure that the event not only ran on time, BUT finished early!
We would like to also extend a thank you to the IGA Members who stayed behind after two full days of competition on the Sunday to help Gymnova and the IGA Staff to clear up after the competition. As you can imagine, the evening ran into midnight and could have been longer, if you hadn’t’ of offered your help and support. The hard work and dedication that the IGA Staff, Judges and Volunteers give, are undeniably impressive and appreciated.
Here are some of the fantastic photo’s from the weekend!
